Elizabeth MacBride
Platform Advisor
With three decades of experience as an award-winning journalist, author, and founder, and deep expertise in finance, technology and international business, Elizabeth has reported from several countries as well as on small business in towns across America. During the pandemic, her stories were used to reshape the federal government’s small business aid program and the U.S. Census Bureau’s small business reporting policies. She has been on the founding team of four startups, including Wealthfront, the first online financial advisor. Most recently, she co-authored The New Builders, a book on entrepreneurship with venture capitalist Seth Levine of Foundry Group, which argues that the future of the American economy depends on how well we understand the needs of the people most likely to launch businesses today – women and people of color. As part of her role at ASV, Elizabeth highlights founders who operate outside major cities and builds ASV’s visibility and profile in new secondary markets.
